Annual Event

Digital Arts and Humanities Lab

The DARIAH-EU Annual Event 2016 took place on 10-13 October at the Ghent University Convention Centre, ‘Het Pand’ in Belgium, hosted by DARIAH-BE. This year’s event welcomed more than 142 participants from 23 countries, from Europe and beyond, from Canada and Australia. A new feature of the 2016 event was the organisation of a Digital Arts and Humanities Lab, an interactive session bringing together researchers, technologists, data scientists and cultural heritage professionals, to demonstrate and engage with data, tools and services around the theme of digital arts and humanities.

The event also featured two keynote lectures, an opening keynote by Prof. Mikko Tolonen (University of Helsinki) and a closing keynote by Dr. Mark Cote (King’s College London).
